Perfect She Was is Dean Ray’s most personal release to date.
Written for his daughter Evie, the song began as something private - a way to process the grief, love and shock of losing a child. Blending Dean’s guitar-led blues-rock sound with country-rooted storytelling, the track is raw, intimate and deeply human.
Now being released publicly for the first time, Perfect She Was is offered to families carrying similar loss, in the hope it may create connection and help others feel less alone.
