LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD

4TRAK Sessions

D. Pritchard

Little Red Riding Hood she walked into the city

In a wore out pair of Doc’s and liner on her eyes

She’s not the girl we read about

She’s nearly seventeen

And the big bad wolf’s not some highland pedigree

Her mother tried to phone her

When her gran said she was late

Worried ‘bout the dangers if she relapsed once again

Take all the thoughts in your head

The memories in your heart are all that you’ll be left with

And the writing on the stone

Says Little Red Riding Hood’s home

Little Red Riding Hood she wound up in the valley

The big bad wolf was there

An old love and a friend

They shared each other all through the night until the sun was rising

He left her sleeping dreaming chasing dragons through her head

So take all the thoughts in your head

The memories in your heart are all that you’ll be left with

And the writing on the stone

Says Little Red Riding Hood’s Home

Little Red Riding Hood was found dead in the city

In a wore out pair of Doc’s and panic in her eyes

You see some bonds cannot be broken

Some are stronger than the rest

Like the bad wolf and addiction taking all that should be left

So mothers take all the thoughts in your head

The memories in your heart are all that you’ll be left with

And the writing on the stone

Says Little Red Riding Hood’s Home

And the writing on the stone

Says Little Red Riding Hood’s home
